Stretching for two hundred metres, the tunnel at Leake St, South London, is the biggest legal graffiti wall in London. Once an abandoned road tunnel, it has since been transformed by the renowned artist Banksy, when he turned the tunnel into an exhibition space for his legendary "Cans Festival" in 2008. The exhibition, to quote Banksy, aimed to "transform a dark forgotten filth pit" into "an oasis of beautiful art".

Although the numerous installations from the Cans Festival have since been removed, the walls in the tunnel remain a canvas for graffiti art, and offers sanctuary for street artists to produce their work free from reprimand.

The Totalrewall project aims to build upon the notion of freedom of expression through art, and continue to transform the tunnel into something beautiful.
